Biking is Good for the Brain

Biking is Good for the Brain

Damon Miller

While the physical perks of biking are evident not everyone understands how beneficial the lifestyle can be mentally. If you want to wake your brain up with something other than coffee or energy drinks biking can give you that similar sensation in a natural way. A recent study performed by the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research showed that individuals scored higher on tests related to memory, reason, and planning after 30 minutes of riding on a bike than they did before riding. Furthermore, as time passes and we get older, both our body and mind feel the effects of this. Exercise does an incredible job of reducing this wear both physically and mentally. So give it a try, ride your bike to work and you may find yourself in a more attentive and organized state throughout the day.

“Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of riding a bike.” John F Kennedy
